What is AppMobile?
With the MVSAppMobile portal, easily create native smartphone applications without any native developpment :
- define your app's structure in our web interface (tabs, lists, pages...)
- imbed your date in a few clics : RSS feed, Facebook page, Twitter feed, Flickr or Picasa photo gallery, Youtube videos...
- use our simple XML format to create native lists from data stored on your server : static lists, or generated on the fly with a script
- you can also provide HTML contents
- use AppMobile modules to get the best of smartphone features:
- geolocation: filter list contents, give specific information depending on the user's location
- authentication and user session: deliver customized information to identified users
- etc...
- Combining user authentication with dynamic contents (XML lists, HTML pages), you can create some apparently complex features very simply. The HowTo section of this documentation site will show you a way to handle carts and orders or to manage messaging features, for instance.
Why AppMobile rather than a developpment "from scratch"?
First of all, for developpment cost reasons. With AppMobile, you just need some few clics to integrate existing contents (rss, youtube feeds...). To go further and link your app with your existing website and database, some simple scripts server side will do the trick (php, .net, etc.).
